Process and progress
Each assignment is different, because all clients are different. We use our Achieve Coaching Model® process, but roughly, what happens is:
Change reaction? – We begin with a meeting to check the chemistry between coach and client – if this isn’t right, you’re unlikely to get the trust needed for the frank conversations which will produce results.
Map but no destination? - Unlike many coaching companies, we don’t assume you know exactly what you want – although lots of people know what they don’t want. We start coaching by getting you to let your imagination run riot, generating possibilities.
Planning the journey - After this, a series of one to one coaching meetings of at least an hour, possibly two will plan the actions to get you moving. Depending on the client, what they want to work on, and their timeframe, these may continue for several months.
Out of office assistant - If required, we give telephone and email support between meetings.
Touchdown - Finally, there’s an outcome meeting to agree what’s been achieved, what new challenges there are to overcome and how this will happen.
A word of warning – coaching requires commitment from the client. Coaches can be astonishingly effective but they’re not miracle workers. Coaches need clients to focus on the insights from the sessions, take responsibility, act on advice and be aware of the impact they have on others.
