Strength in numbers - developing effective top teams
Our experience with coaching top teams leads us to identify four key elements of top team effectiveness. These are:
-
Clarity of purpose – development of a shared view of the organisation’s challenges and its objectives and the top team’s role in tackling challenges and realising objectives.
-
Framework – the structures and practices that focus the experience and behaviour of the top team on the key issues.
-
Outlook – experience of the top team as a group and individually that provides insight into the issues facing the organisation and determines approach. Alignment of the team with other stakeholders, including investors, and company direction to ensure the top team adds value.
-
Behaviour – development and role modelling of behaviours consistent with the organisation’s mission, vision and values to direct the organisation.
We work with your executive team through group coaching and facilitation on 'live' issues to improve communication, co-operation and decision making. This can be supported by an intensive programme of individual coaching sessions over the next three months and the programme ends with a final group session to celebrate achievements and plan next steps.
